by The Saturdays
One of the biggest breakthrough music acts of 2008, The Saturdays, became the latest in a fantastic line-up of pop acts to release an official Comic Relief song...
The gorgeous girl group released 'Just Can't Get Enough', a cover of the Depeche Mode classic, to raise cash for Red Nose Day 2009.
Band member, Mollie, said, “I was so, so excited that we were asked to do the Comic Relief song. It was such a big compliment and it was so nice to be helping such a good cause. I'd always dreamt of doing something like that from being a little girl! I remember watching the Spice Girls doing "Who Do You Think You Are" and suddenly it was us!”
The Saturdays joined a long tradition of some of the biggest girl groups to record the official Comic Relief song. Bananarama, the Spice Girls, Sugababes and Girls Aloud have all played their part over the years, and The Saturdays were thrilled to be in such great company.
by Nessa Jenkins & Bryn West, featuring Sir Tom Jones and special guest , Robin Gibb
Gavin and Stacey duo, Nessa Jenkins and Uncle Bryn, teamed up with legendary Welsh crooner, Sir Tom Jones and special guest, Robin Gibb, to bring you ‘(Barry) Islands In The Stream.’
In true Comic Relief style, Nessa and Bryn's very special version of the song was packed with unexpected extras as Robin Gibb sang backing vocals on the track and even appeared in the nine-minute video! As if that wasn’t enough, our Barry Island singing duo also enlisted the help of Sir Tom Jones who also featured in the video.
The CD single also included Bryn's brilliant version of James Blunt's 'Wisemen' and Nessa and Bryn's duet of 'Something Stupid' – both of which featured in series two of Gavin and Stacey.
